Teledentistry

Speak to Your Dentist

Omni Family Health is pleased to offer teledentistry, allowing you to speak directly to a dental provider without leaving the comfort and safety of your home.

A teledentistry appointment is a convenient way to ask a dental-related question, receive advice, discuss oral pain, infection management, or get a referral to a dental specialist. With teledentistry, a dental provider will be able to determine your need for further assessment and treatment at one of our health centers.

Why Teledentistry?

Teledentistry is a safe and convenient method of receiving dental advice, consultation, triage as well as dental disease management for patients during a secure visit with a dental provider. Other advantages of teledentistry include better planning for your in-person visits as well as obtaining referrals to a dental specialist if needed.

What to Expect

During a teledentistry visit, you and your dentist will have a two-way conversation by video conference or phone. Using a smartphone or tablet, you will take a high-quality picture or video of your concern and share it with your dentist. The dentist will evaluate your condition and advise you as to what to do next. Visit our Virtual Visits page to learn more about preparing your device for your teledentistry visit.

Can I Visit a Health Center?

During your teledentistry visit, our dentist may advise you come to a health center for continued dental care. Rest assured, Omni Family Health is following strict policies and procedures to ensure clean and safe health centers meet or exceed standards of care. Visit our Health Center Safety Measures page for more information.

Despite the current pandemic circumstances, Omni Family Health dental is currently providing a full scope of dental services with few modifications for safety, based on recommendations by the American Dental Association.
