Dental Health Services Administrator

Job Summary: The person in this position is part of the team concept in the Center’s dental delivery system, which is devoted to the delivery of primary care in an ambulatory setting with emphases on prevention and health maintenance. The Dental Health Services Administrator will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and administration to the Center’s dental delivery system to ensure operational and financial effectiveness. Job Duties:

1. Manage front office efficiency a. Supervise front office dental staff at various locations within Omni Family Health. b. Manage, organize, and maintain functions associated with operating the front office area including scheduling, presenting treatment and effectively handling Accounts Receivable. c. Guarantee excellent customer service to all patients of Omni Family Health. d. Guarantee proper insurance verification, work closely with insurance plans, and direct patients to appropriate assistance programs. e. Prepare health center for all private, county, state, and federal audits. f. Generate, review, and analyze all reports pertaining to the operations of the dental department. Administrative Duties: 1. Order and submit all necessary supplies with purchasing department according to established protocols and procedures. Supplies order – make sure that they are done within time. 2. Collaborate with Dental Director to provide feedback in order to improve operational and financial practices while ensuring an outstanding patient experience. 3. Prepare staff meetings and agenda. 4. Prepare and update dental policies and procedures. 5. Generate, analyze, and review QI reports. 6. Actively participate in dental practice initiatives, and encourage team members to proactively seek ways to advance the dental department. 7. Directly responsible for all front office personnel. 8. Communicate with Call Center personnel for any provider scheduling conflicts or improvements. 9. Communicate site operation and QI results, updates, and improvements with Dental Director. 10. Communicate any problems with Billing department. 11. Submit Monthly report to Operations Management Associate. Job Requirements: 1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 2. Must be willing to work at any Omni Family Health, location, other that the assigned site and be agreeable to work weekends, if so needed. 10. Must obtain a Valid California Drivers License at all times plus proof of insurance, to allow you to be placed in all Omni Family Health clinics if needed. 11. Commitment to the concepts of preventive health care program and team approach to health care delivery. Additional Duties: 1. HIPAA compliance - Responsible for maintaining abreast of and in compliance with all H.I.P.A.A. regulations and requirements. Treats all member information confidential. 2. Compliance - Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations. 3. QA/QI - Participate in QA/QI activities and contribute towards the overall performance improvement of the organization. 4. IT - Required to learn and use the EHR/EOHR (Medical Practice Electronic System) and its components. As required by the job functions and highlighted in the Policies and Procedures. These components include NextGen, Healthport, PMS, QSI and other electronic features, as they are developed and implemented, as applicable to work environment. 5. All employees will participate in Patient Centered Health Home Model at Omni Family Health. Qualifications, Education, and Experience: 1. Must have High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five years- experience in the dental field preferably three years of supervisory experience or some college and secondary training combining five years- experience. Or have graduated from an accredited university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent with two years dental practice experience. 2. Bilingual in English/Spanish may be required. 3. Must have leadership abilities and demonstrate management skills. Responsible To: Dental Director Classification: Full Time Position, Exempt
